Hi! I'm doing a school project on thinspiration and I think it's really important to talk about male thinspo as well, but I'm not very familiar with the concept... could you tell me what male thinspo is all about? Like, do you guys want to be fit and built or just skinny? And is there a difference between male thinspo and female thinspo that i should point out? Because I feel like male thinspo is a lot more centered on a healthy lifestyle, but I could be wrong... Help?? :)
Well there are to spectrums. There is the fitspo side and that is people with the goal of being “fit” wether that means having abs or arm muscles and what not. They strive to achieve this typically the healthy way with a balanced diet and working out. Then there is the extreme thinspo and this is when males will starve themselves tell they can’t no more. I know a lot of boys will workout a lot too. Then some eat but a lot less calories and work out! And talking about if guys want to be fit and built or just skinny, it typically is just what the individual wants. The male thinspo community may be smaller, but it still is a thing lots of us struggle with.
Personally I try to watch what I eat and workout every chance I get. But with being a Ap student in High School I have lots of homework that does get in the way with my dieting. But I do try my hardest to stay on top of what I eat and how many calories I am in taking.
